Job Description - Assistant Planning and Distribution Manager
About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Planning & Distribution Manager to join our team at Kemsley Paper Mill. Reporting to the Assistant Planning & Distribution Manager, you?ll be part of a dynamic team, overseeing key processes from product manufacturing to customer dispatch. This role requires close collaboration with paper sourcing, warehousing, distribution, and customer support teams to ensure smooth operations. This role will involve (but not limited) Optimising mill efficiency by working with Production teams to manage capacity, planned shutdowns, and any factors impacting delivery times. Overseeing external converting processes and coordinating dispatch instructions to support Warehouse and Logistics teams. Engaging with external customers, handling meetings, complaints, and delays, while ensuring the team meets key performance indicators (KPIs). About You Experience in supply chain management, with a strong understanding of end-to-end processes Knowledge of production planning, supply, and demand within a business and industry context Background in a fast-paced, large-scale manufacturing environment A methodical problem-solver with a process-driven mindset Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and customers If you?re looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a fast-moving manufacturing environment, we?d love to hear from you!
