We have an exciting role for an Audit Trainee to join TC Kent in our Rochester office to start as soon as possible. Ideally we are looking for candidates with previous audit experience but this isn?t mandatory. A fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to start your career in accountancy, joining an apprenticeship scheme, you will be working towards an internationally recognised accountancy qualification (AAT Level 2) and gaining valuable on-the-job experience with a highly respected accountancy firm. You will join a dynamic audit team with a high quality client base and rapidly gain responsibility whilst at the same time completing your accounting qualification with us. Key responsibilities of an Audit Trainee will include: assist within the wider team by obtaining audit evidence necessary to support opinions given prepare analysis of accounting data from clients? books and records ensure audit files have all relevant documentation on the appropriate section; check appropriate and sufficient documentation obtained to support the opinion and documenting all conclusions active engagement with client staff in the gathering of appropriate audit evidence involvement in the planning, execution and finalisation of the audit assignment supporting the audit manager ensure compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements identify and understand client needs, including sometimes providing initial solutions to client challenges, then communicating these needs and solutions to the audit manager build strong relationships with new and established clients travel to local and national clients on a regular basis About you Successful candidates for this role will be team players who are personable and hard-working.
