This role involves providing commercial administration, particularly focusing on Quantity Surveying, for the Saltend Chemicals Park Portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Cash Management (AFP?s) Timely submission of AFP?s Assessment of AFP sufficiency through comparison with the theoretically modelled AFP Production of exception reports to explain variances Analysis of exception reports to identify themes for improvement and minimise variances Contract Governance and Discipline Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle Providing estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan Reconciling changes to ensure data accuracy Driving engineering priorities based on cost impact Managing cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects with timely, accurate processes Assessment of change Work Orders and variations in line with the Contract of Agreement Managing cost impact, contingency management, and commitment tracking log Performing quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management activities throughout the project lifecycle Ensuring effective management of post-contract cost variances and change control processes Managing cost auditing and valuation work with a robust validation process Monitoring weekly progress Evaluating planned costs compared to the original approved contract scope of work and identifying differences Generating progress measurement and accounting reports Reviewing and assessing high-risk scope of works for value engineering opportunities Monitoring weekly man-hours spent against budgeted hours Monitoring projects for budget adherence, demand forecasts, and time over-runs KPI Performance Monitoring Production of KPI scorecards covering SHE, Operational Performance, and Innovation & Improvement Ensuring weekly, monthly, and annual governance reports are produced Attending and ensuring risk reduction/change meetings are held as necessary Profit and Loss Monthly Reporting - Month End and WIP Preparation and submission of monthly financial reports to meet the company timetable Production of exception reports to highlight month-on-month changes Analysis of changes to identify further improvement opportunities Monthly Financial Reporting and Forecasting Preparation and submission of monthly financial reports Consideration of forecasts and contract review slide packs Production of exception reports to highlight month-on-month changes Analysis of changes to identify further improvement opportunities Job Requirements: Experience with project controls software or similar tools Evidence of dispute resolution SAP experience Engineering or commercial qualification Membership in a professional institution (e.g., MRICS) Strong background in dealing with commercial issues If you have the relevant skills and experience and are looking to take on a key commercial role within the Oil & Gas industry, we would love to hear from you.
