About the role We have an exciting new opportunity for an Employee Relations Lead to join the Society?s People Partnering Team. The person in post will oversee the Society?s ER caseload and will work proactively with our wider People Team and senior leaders across the business to create a positive employee relations climate. The ER Lead will have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of ER, whilst balancing business need and risk. Managing a small team of Advisors, the role holder will mentor, coach and support the team with all types of cases as well as manage their own complex casework, where needed. As the Society?s subject matter expert in ER, people policy and employment legislation, the person in post will play a key role in the management of complex ER including employment litigation. This role will provide real variety, including supporting the management of the trade union relationship, shaping our approach to managing organisational change and leading on ER horizon scanning to continually evolve the Society?s policies and processes to ensure we keep up to date with the latest employment legislation and best practice, contributing to our status as a Great Place to Work. About you With extensive experience of dealing with complex ER casework, employment disputes and litigation, organisational design and change management, you?ll also ideally be CIPD qualified with experience of managing a team. You?ll have an excellent understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice, with evidence of applying this pragmatically to achieve business outcomes. You?ll be a natural and engaging communicator who?ll look to engage, develop and maintain key relationships with stakeholders. Demonstrating commerciality and a good knowledge of key trends in the world of HR you?ll assert yourself with confidence, to challenge and influence senior leaders.
