Description Position: National Sales Team Manager (Internally known as Merchant Channel Manager) Location: Midlands preferred (north of the M4 corridor), with UK-wide travel Salary: 80,000- 85,000 base, plus OTE 10% commission Start Date: Immediate About the Role: We are excited to announce a new leadership opportunity for a National Sales Team Manager, a position internally referred to as the Merchant Channel Manager. This pivotal role involves building, managing, and inspiring a team of seven Area Sales Managers across the UK, covering Cornwall to Scotland. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, strategic thinking, and expertise in merchant channels, ensuring the team consistently meets and exceeds revenue and GP targets while upholding the company?s core values. Key Responsibilities: As Merchant Channel Manager, you will: Lead and Inspire: Manage, coach, and motivate the UK merchant sales team to success, fostering strong relationships with key partners like Travis Perkins, Howdens, and others. Strategic Leadership: Develop and oversee sales strategies, ensuring accurate forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking. Channel Expertise: Act as the voice of the merchant channel, providing insights on trends, competitive activity, and opportunities. Drive Results: Own team targets while maintaining a hands-on approach with senior accounts, ensuring the entire team delivers against objectives. Coach for Growth: Develop team members through mentoring, training programs, and strategic support, enabling them to excel in their roles. Communicate Effectively: Present performance updates to leadership, outlining over- and under-performance with actionable improvement plans. Operational Excellence: Utilise tools like Salesforce CRM, Power BI, and Netsuite to manage pipelines, track data, and support decision-making.
