Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join the visitor experience team at Ormesby Hall as an events assistant (known as programming assistant in the National Trust). You?ll assist in the delivery and development of a programme of activities and events, such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas. We?re looking for a proactive, positive colleague who enjoys engaging with people of all ages. Interview date: Friday 24 January 2025 Salary: 11.64 per hour Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 23rd December 2025 Hours: 800 hours between February 2025 - December 2025. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. You will work up to 5 days a week during school holidays. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we?re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the business needs. This role involves weekend and some evening work. For this role, you?ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role. What it?s like to work here Reporting to the Senior Visitor Experience Officer, you?ll work within an immediate team of 3 at Ormesby Hall and also with other departments, such as the collections & house and outdoors team. This role is based at the property, there is no remote working involved. What you?ll be doing Working with the team you?ll create and deliver events and activities that bring our place to life for our visitors all year round. You will be responsible in the setting up and packing down of activities, including the Easter trail and summer of play equipment. You will also support in the decorating of Ormesby Hall at Halloween and Christmas and deliver activities during the school holidays and support with the bigger weekend events, such as Love Local. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. You?ll help link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do. You?ll deliver high standards of presentation on site and ensure all our communications with our visitors around the property is clear and consistent.
