They are now looking to recruit a Safeguarding Support Officer on a permanent, part-time basis. This role is key to the Lift Schools? mission that every child receives an excellent education, in every classroom, every day. Your new role You will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to support the welfare of all pupils within the school. You will make a strong contribution to children?s learning and achievement by providing important support and guidance to enable families to take responsibility for their children?s education and welfare. You will assist on all matters of safeguarding and child protection across the school, working in accordance with all statutory and legislative safeguarding policy and frameworks. You will also take part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings, and contribute to the assessment of children. This is a crucial role for the school and a real opportunity for someone to make an impact quickly What you?ll need to succeed You will be empathetic and compassionate with the experience of motivating families and promoting high expectations for students. as well as the ability to engage effectively with young people, families, and professionals. You will bring with you up to date knowledge of safeguarding legislation and knowledge of the education sector, safer recruitment, and safeguarding/child protection. Equally you will have GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or above or equivalent) and a DSL qualification (level 3) or a willingness to undertake training.
