We are looking for a Senior Investment Strategist to play a key role in shaping our investment strategies and asset allocation frameworks. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical and knowledgeable investment professional to contribute to the management of multi-asset funds and portfolios, working closely with senior investment leaders and the wider investment team. Purpose of the role: As a Senior Investment Strategist, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic and tactical asset allocation frameworks for our multi-asset funds and portfolios. Working closely with senior investment leaders and the wider investment team, you will contribute to the management of our core MPS solutions (Active, Passive, Pactive & Responsible), partnership portfolios, and portfolios managed via the AJ Bell ICVC. This is a high-impact role that requires strong analytical skills, a deep knowledge of financial markets, and the ability to translate research into actionable investment strategies. What does the job involve? Develop asset allocation strategies to align with clients? long-term financial goals. Analyse financial markets, economic trends, and investment research to inform strategic decisions. Collaborate with portfolio managers and analysts to optimise investment strategies. Prepare and present detailed reports on investment markets for clients and senior management. Research and monitor the performance of investment instruments to enhance portfolio outcomes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial market trends and economic developments. Ensure compliance with investment regulations and industry standards. Provide reports to and attend departmental committees. Play an active role in recruiting, mentoring, and developing investment team members. Support the business in achieving its regulatory obligations, including Consumer Duty. What We?re looking for: Qualifications & Competence Level VII qualification such as CFA desired Skills & Experience Strong numeracy skills with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to independently manage a complex and varied workload. Deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management, including capital market assumptions and mean variance optimisation. Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly to different audiences. Strong report-writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and investment research tools such as Morningstar Direct.
