Your focus will be on promoting and influencing the specification of innovative energy metering, monitoring, and control products that support Net Zero and Retrofit initiatives. What You Will Do: Cultivate strong connections with Local Authorities, Housing Associations, national and regional housebuilders, and their supply chains, ensuring that your insights and solutions meet their needs. Identify and seize opportunities within the private rental sector, particularly in light of energy efficiency regulations like the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES). Collaborate with public sector institutions such as universities, hospitals, and schools to align their decarbonisation efforts with our sustainable solutions. Engage with key decision-makers to secure specifications for both new build and retrofit projects, ensuring our products are at the forefront of their initiatives. Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve your targets and contribute to broader business objectives. Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities, adjusting your approach as needed to maximise success. Work alongside local and senior management to establish sales goals that align with market demands. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and stakeholders to support long-term business growth. Conduct regular visits to understand client needs and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling our diverse product portfolio. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely support and resolution of any issues. Market Analysis & Business Development: Keep up to date with relevant legislation and government policies that impact the industry, leveraging this knowledge to drive specifications. Conduct thorough market research to uncover new business opportunities and emerging trends. Provide feedback to the product development team on customer needs and market demands. Revenue & Profitability Management: Monitor your sales revenue and profitability, ensuring targets are met or exceeded. Implement pricing strategies that align with market positioning and company objectives. Reporting & Communication: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM tools. Prepare and present regular reports on your performance and market insights to management. Foster open communication with internal teams to ensure alignment on business objectives. Who You Are: You have a solid educational background, ideally at A-Level or Foundation degree level in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a similar technical field. With 2-5 years of experience in specification sales, you have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, particularly within the retrofit or new build housing sectors. You possess strong skills in business development, account management, and relationship building, with a familiarity in technology sales related to energy or renewables. Your analytical skills help you assess sales performance metrics and market trends, enabling informed decision-making. You communicate effectively across various audiences, from senior management to installers and trade distributors.
