Description We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Supply Chain & Shipment Administrator to join their Supply Chain team. This dual-purpose role is integral to ensuring the seamless management of shipments, pricing, and purchasing processes while maintaining high levels of communication and efficiency. About the Role In this multifaceted position, you will: Manage Shipments: Oversee inbound shipments to ensure timely collection and delivery, update due dates, and track progress. Quotation Support: Process pricing requests and provide the sales team with consistent and efficient support to maximise revenue. Supplier and Freight Coordination: Collaborate with freight forwarders and suppliers to maintain smooth operations, including negotiating pricing and resolving any delays or issues. Customer Focus: Keep sales and customers informed of any potential delays or disruptions to ensure excellent service delivery. Administrative Excellence: Maintain accurate records, including purchase orders, order acknowledgements, and shipment documents. Key Responsibilities Book and track all shipments, ensuring they adhere to agreed schedules. Process and update purchase orders, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible. Monitor and challenge delivery dates that conflict with business needs. Collaborate with the sales team to manage customer expectations and maintain satisfaction. Benchmark and evaluate freight providers to ensure competitive pricing and reliability.
