Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative? Do you drive and have access to your own vehicle? Are you based in or around Llanwern? TATA Steel are looking for a reliable, proactive individual within their Heavy Gauge department. This role requires manual handling and experience within a heavy industry environment. The successful applicant will be someone who is fully flexible to the shift rotation and is eager to learn new skills. Location: TATA Steel, Llanwern Works, Newport NP19 4QZ Rate: 11.66ph basic. 25% shift allowance 14.58ph. Overtime also available at 1.5 ( 17.49ph) and 2.0 ( 23.32ph) Contract length: 6 months initially Shift Patterns: 37.5 hours, alternating weeks: Week one X4 12 hour shifts and Week two X3 12 hour shifts Responsibilities: Ensuring material dispatched as per clients request Loading and receiving goods on an inbound and outbound basis Adhering to Health and Safety at all times General housekeeping including but not limited to stock takes, quality checks, reporting damages Operating machinery as part of the role (training provided) Essential requirements: DRIVING LICENCE AND ACCESS TO OWN VEHICLE Previous experience within a Warehouse or Production environment Ability to work as a team-player Strong verbal and written communication skills Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation Able to conduct manual handling duties including bending, lifting bulky items and being on foot for long periods All applicants are subject to vetting checks including but not limited to: Right to work check, Medical check and reference check.
